OUR STORY

It started with a toast…that became a tradition

I’ve always been a firm believer that when you take time to celebrate the people who mean the most to you, life can be so much sweeter. Whether I was creating custom gift baskets for people I care about, or setting a table that would set the scene for an unforgettable evening with friends, it’s always been about something deeper: showing my gratitude in a way people can tangibly feel. And this love of a thankful mindset started around a table full of friends—so it only makes sense that I want to pass the feeling along.

Every year, our neighborhood crew got together (as many friends do) to share a Friendsgiving meal and take a moment to appreciate having one another in our lives. Over time, the classic say-what-you’re-thankful-for ritual morphed into “Guys! We need to do our thankfuls!”—which consisted of taking turns standing on our chairs (it’s true), getting genuinely vulnerable about what we were grateful for in life, and finishing it off with the required pumpkin pie shot. The perfect mix of light and deep, which inevitably ended in both tears and laughter. Every. Single. Time.

Life gets busy, but getting together to “do our thankfuls” remained a priority—and part of the tradition was sitting around a beautiful table that made people feel both spoiled and appreciated…which can feel like a rarity at times.

The world is better when we live with a heart of gratitude others can actually feel, and creating moments that allow us to soak in each other’s company (and force us to stop and take a mental picture) has become a passion of mine.

I love being able to spread the thankful movement. Join us, will you?

love,
Laura
